Working directly with the Creative Director, I have produced work that has represented ORACLE TEAM USA throughout the duration of the 2011-2012, and 2012-2013 America’s Cup World Series seasons, from Naples, to San Francisco, and every stop in between. After the San Francisco America's Cup World Series event in August 2012, I was able to tap into ORACLE TEAM USA's robust data tracking. Using Google Fusion Tables, I was able to track the courses of the ORACLE TEAM USA boats in various races. This map shows the course Russell Coutts' took to victory during the match race vs. Jimmy Spithill on 26 August 2012 in San Francisco. If you’re looking for something more scenic, tap the “View” button to find the closest seats to you with a sight worth seeing. Choosing “Public” will provide you with seats that aren’t in or part of a business, no purchase necessary! Private seats will all be associated to a business of some kind; bars, restaurants, etc. You can even add a seat by simply checking-in at the spot, providing a description and a quick photo. From the “Home” menu you can also find seats by tapping “Locate”, but more than that, you can join in with your neighbors and rate seats. “Fuss” is where you go to let people know when and where it is inconsiderate to sit, but beware, everyone can rate the fuss too! Go to Fuss to see who’s statements are legitimate and who is being too hot headed. When you’re near a location that has been positively viewed in the Fuss section, it will show up on your map in red so you know to steer clear! The Home screen is also where you’ll find the built in scanner. This feature is for the chance encounter of a Neighborly poster on the street. If you see one of these posters, tap “Scan” and capture the poster’s QR code to see what the fuss is all about! Based on your location, the code will automatically locate the nearest places to sit so you won't upset your neighbors neurotic dog! Each poster is location specific and will have a different story behind it. The Profile page is where you can check-in and keep track of your favorite seats, as well as your Neighborly points and reviews. The more you use Neighborly, and the more you are a courteous neighbors, the more points you’ll rack up! Each column represents a new project, and the related contents fill in vertically from the “title page” of each project. With keyboard navigation, the user can quickly move through the projects, and drill down into the contents. If a user decides to navigate right while in the middle of a project column, they will be taken to the “title page” of the next project to the right. A corresponding breadcrumb trail will display the user’s location within the site in just above the project window. Below the project window will be a thumbnail list that will allow the user to skip to any section of the project they are viewing. for my masters thesis project. Currently, the project exists as a series of wireframes that are the result of four rounds of prototyping and user testing, along with all of my research on the topics of sustainable, organic, and fairtrade foods. LOFT is a mobile application that enables it’s users to track the sustainability of their diet. LOFT provides infographic feedback regarding individually scanned food items, and entire grocery lists of food. Using LOFT will help to reconnect consumers with their food sources. Understanding food in this way is important because it establishes what foods are good for the individual user as well as the user’s local economy, community, and environment.
